My Primary Roles at Northside:
To play trains, dinosaurs and outer space as the Dolphin’s Head Teacher J I’m also the Extended Care Provider at the Preschool.
Most Memorable Moment at Northside:
What immediately comes to mind is a performance my class did in 2015 of Anansi the Spider. They did it for our whole division, as well as their parents. We worked on it for weeks and they pulled it off!
Since You Asked, Here’s What I’m Most Proud Of As An Educator:
Helping to shape the future of our world, of course! I also beam with pride when I’m able to take a step back, look at each child, and see their individual growth. So much happens over the days, weeks, months and even year(s)! It’s fun to see and be a part of.
Favorite Job Perk:
I get to come to work, build tall towers and then have them be knocked down by a rogue T-Rex. What’s better then being in an environment where you are encouraged to have fun, play pretend and get messy?! I’ve also made some pretty awesome friends over the past few years J
Between You And Me (Hardly Anyone Knows That):
I still have and snuggle with my lovey from when I was a child. His name is Sam and he’s a stuffed puppy that has supported me my entire life.
What I Wanted To Be When I Grew Up (At Age 10):
I think an astronaut, but mostly because that’s what my oldest sister wanted to be and I thought she was the coolest.
What I Want To Be When I Grow Up (Now):
I think somebody’s mom is the right answer to this question for me J.
Favorite Place In My Imagination
On stage singing with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.
I Knew I Wanted To Work At Northside When…
I knew I (made the right choice) to work at Northside when on the first day ever of work a few co-workers invited me to go out to lunch with them. They were so kind!
I Am An Educator Because:
The future of our world depends on us now and I’m happy to take on the task to help our children learn and grow to be kind, strong individuals.
Secret Dream Job:
There are so many! I’d like to be famous for my singing, do voiceovers for children’s movies, or maybe work in a hospital, Grey’s Anatomy style.
Winnie the Pooh! …or the Harry Potter series.
10 Things I Hate about You or Fried Green Tomatoes
Favorite TV Show
Grey’s Anatomy & Riverdale… what can I say? I love some good drama.
