Preschool 3’s Teacher
At Northside since 2014
B.S in Early Childhood Ed. University of Vermont
Currently enrolled at Bank Street for masters in Early Childhood Special Ed.
My Primary Roles at Northside:
Head teacher in the 3’s program
Most Memorable Moment at Northside:
Probably taking the bus to get photos developed during a photography project…I’m not sure if it was taking the bus or getting our photos that was more exciting, but the whole trip was memorable!
Since You Asked, Here’s What I’m Most Proud Of As An Educator:
Being able to support children in some of the most pivotal times of development for social skills and empathy.
Favorite Job Perk:
It’s hard not to say summers off, but I’ll dig deeper and say the fact that every day is different and I don’t have to sit at a desk all day. Plus, there’s a lot of smiling and goofiness in preschool.
Between You And Me (Hardly Anyone Knows That):
I’ve read the first Harry Potter book 13 times.
What I Wanted To Be When I Grew Up (At Age 10):
What I Want To Be When I Grow Up (Now):
When Not In The Classroom I Can Be Found:
At home or at yoga, but mostly at home. I love being home.
Favorite Place In The Neighborhood:
Hmm. Probably Oslo Coffee.
Favorite Place In The World:
Anywhere in my tent, preferably in a campground with no bears around. Or Tulum, or Copenhagen.
Secret Dream Job:
A textile designer or some kind of textile artist.
East of Eden.
My favorite book I read this year?
Don’t Think Twice It’s All Right – Bob Dylan
My Neighbor Totoro, or The Point
Salad and French Fries… it’s the perfect balance!
