My Primary Roles at Northside:
Sea Lions Co-Teacher
Since You Asked, Here’s What I’m Most Proud Of As An Educator:
Being able to see each and every one of your students grow into independent leaders inside and outside of the classroom as they continue to make connections to the world around them.
Favorite Job Perk:
When you walk into the building and every staff member, parent and child greets you with a hello or good morning, you know you’re going to have a good day!
Between You And Me (Hardly Anyone Knows That):
I am a huge classical music fan. Whenever I watch a new movie I secretly base my judgment off of the film score and whether or not it’s as good as Hans Zimmer.
What I Wanted To Be When I Grew Up (At Age 10):
What I Want To Be When I Grow Up (Now):
Hopefully someday a mother.
When Not In The Classroom I Can Be Found:
At the Strand bookstore in Union Square adding to my collection, the movie theater or a stroll in Prospect Park.
Favorite Place In The Neighborhood:
East River State Park on a sunny day.
Favorite Place In The World:
Chaumont, New York off Lake Ontario =)
Favorite Place In My Imagination:
Front row seats at a Broadway show or sitting in the dugout with the New York Mets waiting to throw the first pitch!
My Desert Island EDC (The handful of things you cannot live without):
A handful of my collection of favorite books, sunglasses and some endless music to lighten the mood.
I Am An Educator Because:
I believe that all children have the capability to learn new and exciting ideas at their own pace in a loving, warm enriched environment. I always knew I wanted to pursue a job with children.
Secret Dream Job:
If I Weren’t In The Classroom, I’d Be:
Traveling to new areas of the world, taking cooking classes or going back to school for another masters degree in counseling.
The Elephant Man
Dancing in the Moonlight
A League of Their Own
Favorite TV Show:
Anything with potatoes or stir-fry!
