Northside Art Teacher's Quilt Selected for the National Art Education Association Art Exhibit

Congratulation to our Middle School Art Teacher, Tiffany Navarro, whose handmade quilt was selected to be exhibited in the National Art Education Association art exhibit for her Spring Quilt. It's an association that supports teachers. Eighty works were selected out of the 425 submitted, and her quilt was one of them.

Tiffany: "I made this scrap quilt with the intention of creating something beautiful and useful. In some ways, the quilt is made with random arrangements of fabrics. However, all the fabrics were ones that I love to look at. They are arranged in a way that I did not plan. Some fabrics were donated to me, other fabrics came from some of my old clothing, and others were ones I purchased. Fabric is a comforting material to work with, and I love using it in a creative way."
