Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice

As an early childhood institution, Williamsburg Northside is a direct reflection of our local community,  our city Brooklyn, and its multicultural breadth of culture. Our school is an intersection where all children and adults are welcome to come as they are, acknowledging and holding space for each individual's experiences. This intersection of various perspectives, approaches, and opinions are framed within our five core values which are grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice to create a nurturing, welcome and educational space for all students, families, and faculty.

Here at Northside, we cherish individuality, collaborate across social differences, always demonstrate compassion to those in need, and grow resiliency through our commitment to unite as a community in times of hardship. Together we educate global citizens who have the courage to answer to the call of accountability

As an early childhood institution, Williamsburg Northside is a direct reflection of our local community, our city Brooklyn, and the world we wish to create. Our school is an intersection where all children and adults are welcome to come as they are. We know that our community thrives when we create shared experiences among students, families, and faculty of varying perspectives, approaches, and opinions. The intersection of various perspectives, approaches, and opinions are framed within our five values (resilience, compassion, responsibility, individuality, and collaboration) and grounded in a diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice lens to cultivate a nurturing, safe space for students, families, and faculty.

Ours is a school that will forever respect and honor those differences, as we seek to build understanding and empathy in all who cross our threshold.
