I am proud to announce that this summer, 299 N 7th Street will again be a satellite location for several camps that I know will be of interest to your children, aged 5 and older. All participating camps are high quality, and promise enriching, FUN programming! These camps are open to all children over 5 years old, not just for enrolled Northsiders, so bring your friends! Just click on the below to be directed to the camps specific websites. The camps themselves will handle all the details of registration, etc. Check with individual camps about children who may not yet be 5, but are entering Kindergarten.
We are also in full swing with enrolling for our seasoned preschool camp program over at the 152 North 5th Street this summer for your children, 1.5-5 years old.

ConstructionKids’ Summer Camps are known for the dynamic projects campers build. Imagine what happens when you combine a kid’s love of building, a bunch of friends, and a week of time to explore their imaginations. Campers 5 to 9 years old, work on individual and group projects with real tools and materials. We teach safe, appropriate tool usage, along with drawing and painting. Creativity and problem solving are encouraged. Our goal is to foster each child’s confidence and self-assurance so that their skills at designing, making, repairing, and revising are unlimited—like their imaginations. Summer camp is about having fun, making new friends, bonding with staff, and building really cool stuff.
Curious Jane Camp for girls – focused on science, design and creativity. The CJ program is for girls entering 3rd – 6th grades, and CJ Junior is designed specifically for our younger set, entering 1st and 2nd grades. When you sign-up, you’ll choose from weekly themes like Mini Pet Design, Spy Science, Kitchen Chemistry, Sea + Stars, Magic + Mystery and Build the City. Everything is hands-on, project-based and superfun! We’re so excited to be at WNS this summer! Join us!
LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE! Juguemos Summer Program offers a Bilingual environment for children ages 5-8. Each week the children will learn new vocabulary and will learn about a different Spanish Speaking country. Songs, play, and hands on activities make it easy for children to learn and have tons of fun! Other activities include walking trips, field trips, and special workshops. The camp is designed to provide an environment where English-speaking children learn Spanish and Spanish-speaking children further develop their language skills. It is conducted in Spanish by highly qualified Bilingual Certified Teachers and Instructors.
Engineering For Kids will be offering S.T.E.M. camp at WNS. Our programs inspire children to build on their natural curiosity through fun and challenging activities. We encourage imagination, innovation and collaboration as well as promotion of individual problem solving skills. Campers age 7 – 12 will get a fun filled week with options of robotics and programming, 3D design and printing, and explore the expanse world of MinecraftEdu. We believe summer is about having fun and making new friends but it doesn’t mean the learning has to stop!
Our camp conforms to kids, not the other way around. Instead of a rigid structure, we give our campers choice. Instead of teaching kids the typical way, we give them tools and gentle guidance to help them become autodidacts, people who teach themselves. The difference is subtle–and it’s profound. There are a gazillion ways for kids to design a day at camp. One camper might dive into breadmaking and animation while another flies down a waterslide and scores a goal in our inflatable soccer stadium. It’s up to them.
We don’t expect you to know when or what time you can get your troops to camp. That’s why our policy is as flexible as you need it to be. You can buy a whole summer membership or you can purchase as many day passes as you want and use them whenever. Didn’t use them? No sweat. We’ll give you a full refund for unused passes. And best of all, you don’t even have to tell us when you’re coming. Ta-da. Camp just got easier.
