Williamsburg Northside Schools Summer Camp Program
A summer full of exploration and discovery
Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the summer camp facility at Williamsburg Northside is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We are committed to offering a summer experience that views every camper as a strong and capable individual who is an active participant in their discoveries.
Summer Camp for our youngest campers (born 2014) provides a joyful and investigative experience while transitioning to a new school setting. In two sessions, Sunshine and Puddle, we invite campers to explore elements of light and water. Summer days are filled with water play, art classes and special days such as tie-dying, Luau Snack and a culminating Ice Cream Social. Camp mornings for children born in 2013 runs from 8:30-11:00.
For children 2 to 5 years old, Summer Camp focuses on project work around two themes that are vital and persistent in our everyday lives. In two sessions, we invite campers to explore elements of Light and Water. Art, drama, music and science classes enrich daily interactions. To provide further opportunities to study and interact with the natural world, we incorporate frequent local walks and field trips. Full day schedule is from 8:30-3:00. After camp classes run from 3-4:30.
Session 1 / Light: June 28th – July 15th (Camp CLOSED July 4th.)
