Williamsburg Northside Infant and Toddler Center Admissions
Admission to our Infant & Toddler Center is on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to siblings. The Infant & Toddler Center yearly enrollment is based on a September to August school year. We do not interview applicants or families. Instead, we seek to thoughtfully share our Reggio Emilia philosophy, emergent curriculum, and school policies, and work together with parents to decide whether the Infant & Toddler Center is the right fit for their family.
Applications for the Infant & Toddler Center may be submitted at 70 Havemeyer Street or any of our school locations. The ITC is open Monday – Friday from 8am – 6pm. There is a one-time non-refundable application fee of $85 required. Schedule options and tuition information are listed on the application. Families on the waiting list for immediate enrollment are called and/or emailed for open spots in the order they applied, based on age and schedule. Offers increase with schedule flexibility.
Infant and Toddler Center Tours
Please attend a small group tour as it is an important part of the decision making process. Small group tour dates are posted on the website or are available upon request. Tours are scheduled year round and allow you to observe our program in action during school hours. Parent will also have an opportunity to talk with an administrator about our philosophy, curriculum, and school policies. Due to space constraints and as courtesy to all families attending, our tours are for adults only. We ask all families to make alternate child care arrangements. Exceptions are considered for children who are not yet walking.
Acceptance notifications for the following school year beginning in September will be sent home to new families in February. Enrollment forms and deposit will be due back on or by March 1st.
Tuition at the Infant & Toddler Center is paid one month in advance and then paid on a monthly basis. For enrollment beginning in September the tuition will be paid as follows:
- A deposit, equivalent to one month’s tuition, will be due upon acceptance. This deposit will be credited toward the last month of enrollment for the school year. Tuition is then paid one month in advance.
- September tuition will be due on August 1st, October tuition will be due September 1st, November tuition will be due on October 1st and so on.
- The final tuition payment will be made on June 1st for July.
- The deposit will then be credited towards August.
Families are guaranteed placement from year to year provided they submit a re-enrollment form due February 1st of each year. Families are provided an opportunity to request preferred schedules for the following school year prior to re-enrollment.
Children in our Infant & Toddler Center transitioning to the Preschool Program
Families with children who are eligible to transition from the Infant & Toddler Center to Williamsburg Northside’s Preschool will be provided a separate tour and discussion addressing the transition and programmatic differences. ITC families are considered preferred admissions for the preschool program and are guaranteed placement provided a re-enrollment is submitted on time.
